Photo contains Culex larvae found collecting in standing water in an Atlanta, Georgia residential area. Mosquito larvae of most species have a prominent breathing siphon. The larvae rest suspended diagonally from the water surface with the end of the siphon tube penetrating its surface enabling the larvae to access their air supply.
