PROFILE

The main telescope at the Worth Hill Observatory is a 50cm f/4 Newtonian housed in a 4m dome. It is equipped with a Starlite Xpress CCD camera, which has taken all the images that appear on the Worth Hill Observatory web site.
The observatory was established and is maintained by David Strange. David is an arable farmer by profession but has been an amateur astronomer for the past thirty years and has gotten to know of some of the most interesting places to visit in this great universe out there. His web site web pages are a record of some of the digital images and photographs taken from his observatory.
The observatory is situated on the south Dorset Heritage Coast, U.K., with a beautiful view of the green countryside and the sea horizon. David's hospitality includes welcome groups and school parties for a night's observing under the stars!
